We ate here a few weeks ago before a play at the Wells Theater. The meal was just outstanding. I had the Carbonara which had a small salad on top and that may sound different but it was out of this world. We shared the seafood bisque which had muscles in it and that was also excellent. Finally my friend had the Salmon over risotto and it too was just delicious. The salmon was cooked perfect (med-rare) and the risotto was different but delicious. What a treat. We will be back soon! One more thing is that you can expect the best service you will get in any restaurant in this country. The service staff is just amazing. What a treat in downtown Norfolk!!!

The bistro was not easy to find as there is no signage out front that we could see. But it was worth the search as the salmon, spaghetti and quinoa dish were excellent. The wine we tried was great, but the list itself could use some improvement as the color of paper and small type made it very difficult to read in the dim light. The service was great and it was overall a great experience.

This place is absolutely one of my favorites. I'll return with my coworkers. Menu is like a cafe in Boston I liked.

Overpriced for the portion sizes and quality of food. Owner is exceptionally rude and conceited. She told a friend of mine who used to work there when invited to my home that I “live in the ghetto” and she’d essentially be caught dead at my house. Wow, people like this still exist. But hey, at least my home isn’t furnished with knock-off mod loft furniture. Surprised by all the three and four star reviews that nonetheless portray the restaurant/experience negatively. Have never had an extraordinary meal here and certainly won’t return. There are much better restaurants with genuine staff and fair price points in Norfolk.

Risotto was all mushrooms and no risotto. The drinks were a bit bland. The service was top notch, as was the nice intimate dining area. May have been an off night for the cook, but overall was not in my personal opinion worth the price of the food. I think that it's a great date night setting though. Romantic, small, and intimate.
