Made a reservation for a party of about 20 people after my wedding. The staff was super easy to coordinate with leading up to the day. When we arrived, the service was super friendly and attentive! We even had some of our party arrive late but they handled it with grace and everyone left happy! The food was also really good, well prepared, and fresh. The crab dip was sooooo good! I would recommend it to anyone in the area and will certainly be back.
Food was great. Service from my server was great. But when I arrived there wasn’t anyone at the door to seat me. One of the waitresses came over and told me I could sit anywhere. I went outside and sat down at one of the tables, but it was damp. I asked the employee close by if she’d wipe off the table. She did, but then said in a very curt and disrespectful voice, “next time come in the front and wait to be seated, that’s why the table is wet.” I told her that’s what the server told me to do, to seat myself. She said “I guess you want a menu” and brought me one. Even though she wasn’t my server, she hastily took my order without telling me any of the specials. I tried to be humorous and pleasant, but she continued with attitude. Thankfully my actual server took over from that point, and she was great and I tipped her well. I enjoyed my lunch but I expected better.
Wait staff was very nice. Nice view. Table was dirty between the slats and sticky. I ordered scallops, a baked potato, and coleslaw for $25. I got an old baked potato (it was kind of gray inside). 8, maybe medium sized scallops, not the large bay scallops. The cod dish it was served in was loaded with oil, raw cabbage and cooked peppers and onion. Most likely to disguise how little scallops you got. The coleslaw was literally shredded cabbage with the dressing on top, served in a bowl, not mixed together. I've never seen coleslaw served that way. It was as if they ran out and said "mix your own." For the price I was disappointed. I most likely will not return.
We had a group of 6 and ate a little bit of everything. The fried oysters and fried shrimp were really good as was the flounder sandwich and the oyster rockefeller. We shared cheesecake and carrot cake for dessert and the view was amazing. If you have a relative or friend with low vision, this restaurant provides plenty of light through massive windows during the day. My Nana is legally blind and she enjoyed the amount of light coming in. The waitress was really nice. :) Thank you 😊
The people we're nice and the view was pretty. Unfortunately, the food was just edible, not good. I had a bad feeling about the place when I saw how much food was left on other peoples plates as they left. I love coleslaw, I order it everywhere I go and I have never seen someone put a glob some random dressing on a giant bowl of dry unseasoned cabbage and call it coleslaw. It's really not that hard to make coleslaw. I make an Asian slaw all the time to have on Tacos and you make it beforehand and it can chill in the fridge for a day and it tastes better than it did the day before. The fact that they are serving dry cabbage with a glob of snot on top and calling it coleslaw speaks to either a lazy chef or poor management. Overall all the rest of the food. Fish, shrimp, etc. was cooked adequate, but was bland. They don't seem to season anything. Highly recommend going to Got Fish, the Dead Rise, or harpoon larry's. I don't normally like to leave bad reviews, but there's so many better places to eat around here, I felt bad for wasting my money.
