THE BEST PLACE FOR BREAKFAST. We came to Doc Taylor's on a Monday morning ( off-season) and still had a 45 minute wait. Well worth it!!! We sat in the very casual adjacent bar and had a good Bloody Mary (about $5 each) Bartender was very friendly and personable. This is a very relaxed and laid-back atmosphere. We were called to our table and our order was placed, cooked and arrived at our table within 15 minutes. This place is a well-oiled machine !!! They know what they're doing. Waitress was fast but very friendly. Checked back on us frequently, kept our drinks refilled. We never felt rushed and they were busy. The food was fresh, hot and perfectly prepared. Country Ham and eggs were great. Fluffy, light omelettes and crispy hashbrowns. About $10 for each breakfast and plenty of food. You will not leave hungry. Have fun😊

Not a very good experience. Didn't actually get a chance to eat. Can only speak to the "wait list".
When we got on the wait list, there were only five a head of, so we decided to wait, and received a buzzer. A while later, I went in to check and somehow we had 10 in front of us. So, we left.
There were only two of us, so not a big party issue. And, I only checked once because I noticed people who had arrived after us and were waiting with buzzers were being called.
And, I understand the restaurant wants the big parties but, they can also make money on table rotations (smaller parties).
So, we will not be going back, and i would caution that you may not be treated fairly as a "first come, first served" situation.
Oh, I forgot...we had gone early because we were fully aware they usually have long waits...but, they "buried us" in the wait list.

I simply adore this place. I have been here with friends, coworkers, and even on a date. There is something for everyone on the menu. You can dress up and have "fancy brunch" or you can come in in an outfit that may or may not be what you slept in last night and still feel right at home. The beach cottage vibe brings back the "old Virginia Beach" vibes and I just love it.
