It took quite a long time to get our drinks, not even specialty drinks, just fountain. The food was okay, burgers were fresh and fries tasted great but the chicken was so dry. Our meals were missing items that should have been standard, refills took forever, and there is a hidden 10% service fee built into each order (this is noted on the menu in print so fine you need a magnifying glass. At $70 for a family of four, I recommend going elsewhere.
We went here instead of waiting to eat at a restaurant nearby and definitely glad we did. There is a bit of a wait for food after you order but everything was great, we had cheese pizza, spicy buffalo wings, onion rings and my wife had a margarita. The pizza is a thinner crust style pizza not a thick doughy crust, the wings are a sauce covered wing not a breaded wing, the onion rings are a lighter crust not a heavy breading, and the margarita was very good according to my wife. Definitely will come back on our next beach trip.
John is great also so are your bloody marys.
Order inside, then sit where you want and then wait 10-15 for the food to come out. Pizza was good. Tasted like real bread and cheese, not boxed stuff. Chicken strips and fries made the kids happy. The "beach cocktails" weren't really my thing, but I think that is a personal preference rather than anything wrong with three booze. Seemed like a very adequate bar. I think I saw 6 beer taps. Would eat there again if hanging out near the boardwalk.
Food is great. I highly recommend it. I’m just not happy with the way the lady at the bar handled the transaction. The to-go order is large pepperoni pizza with one order of wings for a total price of $39. She got my money but did not give me a receipt. I saw that she immediately crumpled the receipt and threw it in trash. I thought she will give me another copy of my receipt when I get my food but she didn’t, even when I asked for it. When I got home, I calculated my order and my math proved my hunch that she added 15% tip without my consent. It’s fine. I could have given her more tip if she needs money, but I what I don’t like is her getting tips from customers like me without my consent. Next time, I’ll be more assertive asking for receipts. I do give more than 15% tip every time and really don’t care about the price especially if the food is great. It’s the honesty and sales practice that I have issues. Going back to the food, it’s really great.
