We had a party of 8 and they were able to get us seated fairly quickly. Great casual atmosphere with great food. We had a few separate checks and our Server, Jamie, was very nice and checked on us regularly. She handled the adults and kids superbly and we never waited for a single thing. We had many different dishes and each one came quickly and was delicious! We will definitely be back!
Stopped by this evening and the food was good and our server was nice and attentive. Food service was a little slow but I won't hold it against them given that there were many people in our section. The food overall was very filling and delicious and priced super reasonably. Be sure to check their daily specials and try to avoid a 'busier time'. c:
Horrible experience here. Came to get some dinner with friends and they first tried to seat us at a bar section outside with cigarette buds all across the counter. Then moved us all the way to the back of the restaurant when asked to move and the service was EXTREMELY slow. Yes, a Sunday afternoon but there were two servers helping us and still slow. We got some raw seafood split among 6 - oysters and shrimp. 3 of us got entrees that took an HOUR to come out due to “dirty dishes from the dishwasher not running” ??? Cold food, mediocre taste, frozen crab cake is better and that says a lot. We all paid which took a lousy 20 min for the checks to be paid as we were trying to get the hell out of there - rushing to use the bathroom..all of us. Not sure if the raw seafood got us sick. ON TOP OF THAT - THEY OVERCHARGED ME $100 from my already expensive bill for lousy food!! I’ve been trying to dispute this transaction as I have no idea what the hell that is from when my total was only $65 - tip included. Shady spot stay away.
We asked locals where to go for fresh seafood and reasonable prices and everyone recommended Harpoon Harry's. They were correct. Takes a while to get your food but well worth the wait. I wouldn't get the crab legs again but would definitely go back for the scallops.
This place is starting to go downhill. The Rum runners used to be great here and so was their food. We ended up going here twice, and the first time was good, but not so much the second time. The first time the waitress was great, but the rum runners were watered down and barely had any alcohol in them. We even got them with 151 as a floater. The food was good and the seafood Nacho's were a hit. We had a pleasant experience the first time. The second time we went there in June 2021, the waiter seemed a little bit off. The crowd that was in there also wasn't the best. Looks like there might be something going on underground here to keep it afloat. My meal ended up not ever coming and our bill was charged for multiple items we didn't order. Not sure what was going on there that night, but makes us not want to return there. The waiter offered us free drinks for waiting for our food for an hour and a half and we never even got the free drinks either. It took over an hour to get appetizers as well, which were pretty simple items that we ordered (fish bites 2x, and mozzarella sticks). We didn't even see any sort of manager there, since it seems like a free for all there for the most part. I am not sure what has happened, but this used to be our favorite place I'm VA Beach and now I'm not sure if I want to ever return.
