The atmosphere and food are pretty good here. We had the Sweet Jane Pizza, The Luciano Pizza, and the Garlic Fries, as well as a few beers/cocktails. The cocktails were good, we only wish there was a greater draft beer selection. The food was overall pretty good, but one of the pizzas could have done with a little more cooking as it was pretty soggy in the middle. Overall, a good restaurant with good happy hour deals. But with the high degree of competition in the area, they struggle a little to really set themselves apart.
We had dinner here last Saturday with our 6 year old granddaughter. She'd already made up her mind to have the fried deviled eggs before we went. We had the rock fish special and a pizza. Someone mentioned that the food wasn't amazing but good. We'd say the food wasn't good, it was AMAZING along with the service and friendliness of our server. We'll definitely be back
Very popular restaurant which requires reservations. We were excited to find this wood fired grill and try their pizza so we were disappointed they don’t offer gluten free pizza crust or vegan cheese (for those with gluten and dairy sensitivities). A diner at the table beside us was also lactose intolerant and restaurants recognize growing food allergies. The alternatives are limited. I ordered starters (BLT salad and fries) as my entree. I would have ordered a different appetizer if the server had pointed out hubby’s steak also comes with a pile of fries. The restaurant is nicely renovated and we’d like to stop by for dinner when they offer gluten free crust and vegan cheese.
From Nov 19, 2020: Hearth has become one of our favorite places! The food is always excellent, & Melanie's service is always the best! Only critique...charcuterie board a bit expensive for portion (not nearly enough meat), and not designed to share. While it's lovely to get thinly sliced prosciutto for instance, it's more practical for the meats & cheeses to be offered in bite sizes, especially during these times. They could be arranged in lovely patterns unique to each table (spiral, geometric, rose-shaped, etc.). From 1 year ago: Never a dull moment, or unhappy meal at Hearth! Our experience at the chef's table was wonderful, and the food was superb! We started with the clams, then progressed to the half chicken and ribeye. Both were accompanied with excellent sides (mashed potato puree, savory bread pudding, potatoes roasted to perfection, asparagus). Best meal we've had in years!
'food and service, excellent, especially desserts. one of the 2 times we dined there during our vacation, I had dessert special, butter cookie ice cream sandwich, with coconut gelato, rolled in coconut. So delicious I could break bad and have this every evening when on vacation if they offered it, but it was a special one of the days we dine there.
