I’ve been visiting Virginia Beach since the late 70s and yes I am an old guy, but never thought about eating at Ocean Eddie’s. I guess I acquainted it with the fishing pier and maybe a burger and a hotdog place. Boy was I mistaken! My young waiter Rex did an outstanding job and I have to say that the fried oysters were probably the best that I’ve ever eaten. French fries also excellent and I ordered a side of coleslaw which was homemade and not much mayo but more of vinegar, also outstanding. I sat outside by myself above the water, great music was playing and it was a beautiful breeze late afternoon. Would highly recommend this place as I will be going back again as I am glad I finally stopped in. Nice job!

Great food, atmosphere, and service. A little bit expensive, but less than I would expect from a restaurant on the pier. The quality is worth the price. I am very impressed. (try the crab dip, it's amazing!)

Chowder was nice, had chunks of fresh onions and carrots plus nice pieces of tender seafood. The fried fish was scrumptious and while the shrimp was good a few were a tad on the overcooked and rubbery side. The crab cakes are 99% crab with crab in every single bite. We didn't get to all of the food that we ordered but left feeling full and satisfied. My 2 crab cakes were more than one person can eat so I have lunch covered for tomorrow. We spent about $80 for 2 adults with no alcoholic beverages but it was worth it.
