I went there on Friday approx 4:30pm basically just opened. The hostess asked if I had any reservations (not showing reservations needed on google search), I stated no and asked if could sit in the bar...she asked the owner and flat out said "NO". I said I have just came in town from out of state...still NO....no one was even there, maybe 6 people at the most. So lucky there was an italian restaurant few shops down called Ynot and I had a great experience there, service and food was great. I guess if you are from out of state and not glamoured up enough..please do not go here.
Warm, unpretentious, good service from the moment we walked in the door to Charlene's awesome tableside service as our waitress. Softshell Crabs just took the dining experience over-the-top! Or, perhaps it was the Remoulade sauce as I thought my husband was going to storm the kitchen and kiss the Chef after he tasted the Remoulade......honestly. Nicely done, Passion-Peeps. 👏
I know it changed owners, because it's not as good as it used to be. Service was still good -- our server, Charlene, was very attentive. I wasn't too happy about the manager asking us to vacate our table at 7:45 PM because another party with an 8 PM reservation was waiting - - that's never happened to me even in a good restaurant in NYC. Food was mediocre - - I had a Prime Rib that was fatty and tough - - wasn't even provided with a steak knife to cut it. My partner ordered a SeaFood Linguine that was supposed to have shrimp and scallops, mostly had shrimp and one scallop. I'm a chocolate lover and they had not chocolate desserts. I had a very bland dry bread pudding for dessert. A real disappointment.
Great place! Clean, great drinks, staff was AMAZING. A nice, local, elegant spot. Really enjoyed the ambiance and service, it was all great.
