First time eating a poke bowl and my husband and I LOVE IT! So fresh and delicious! Instant favorite! Will definitely order again!
Apologies for the somewhat eaten bowl. I was getting too excited and ate some before remembering that I want to give the place a review. The location was hard for me to locate, but it is mostly due to some unrelated road work obstructing my view. I had a free miso soup and the poke bowl itself was great and actually pretty affordable compared to other poke bowls. I’d totally come back. Now excuse me I will now feast on this deliciousness.
Pokey is one of my favorite places in Downtown Norfolk. There poke burritos are delicious, albeit a little on the smaller size. The Poke bowls themselves more than makeup for that. They are large and filling and the amount of choices are outstanding. From numerous kinds of protein- tuna, salmon, shrimp, and yellowtail, to so many different types of toppings and dressings. Recently, I tried the Ramen for the first time and all I can say is wow. I egg and soy allergy and they were able to accommodate me. But what set them apart were the Kale Noodles. You read that Kale noodles. I was blown away. It was soo good and exactly what I wanted on a rainy cold day.
I like the poké but the ramen was even greater. I think the way you order it was my favorite part. You pick your broth, your protein, your noodle type and your toppings. I've never been anywhere where I could do that. I enjoyed both, my poké bowl and my husband's ramen lol.
