Been to Roger Browns numerous times and the food is always good, but service has always been mediocre at best. Tonight as an example, they bought drinks out to all but 1 in our party and we had to ask twice for it. A beverage was ordered from the bar and our dinner was out before they bought it. The excuse was that the bar was busy. The entire restaurant and bar area was not even a 1/4 full. Food came out in a good time frame but not all was bought at once. Had to ask for utensils and napkins for all of us. As I posted in the beginning, food is good but service is sub par. Place really has potential but they need to step up the customer service and attention to detail.
The food was great and so was the service. This was my first time here and I will definitely be back! I had the half rack of ribs and they had amazing flavor. The collards were perfect, not undercooked and not a mouth full of vinegar. My friend had the shrimp and grits and said they were the best he'd ever had!
The lack of customer service is unfortunate and not a priority of the management team or most of its staff. There needs to be a training on professionalism, tact, and honesty. After not being served after an hour of waiting, while customers that arrived afterwards or were family received service, the food, which was not what we ordered in its entirety, was told it would be on the house due to the egregious experience - yet they still charged my card. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone that appreciates proper service and a good dining experience.
The food was great and the looked absolutely amazing. It was my first visit but I will go again. The only down side was the appetizer came out after the main meal and the dining party beside us was very loud. Setbice was great
Gave one star, because of the waitress Gwyn. So thank you Gwyn for assisting us, when we weren't even your table. Went here with my wife and finally ordered. Our food took forever to come out. People that came after us, got their food first. Finally our food came and they took it to the wrong table, then, it was made wrong, and my wife sent hers back.( she did not eat) Then, we asked for napkins, ketchup and mayo. WE NEVER SAW OUR WAITRESSES AGAIN!!! We caught the attention of a passing waitress (Gwyn) several times, and she helped us with no problem. No refills, our wait staff didn't even check on us! The Mgr. came and apologized for everything but the damage was already done. And didn't even give us a receipt..
