My husband and I had an amazing time. Food was excellent and quiet filling. The manager and staff were great! They took great care of us, I am allergic to shellfish and they made sure the food did not cross contaminate. The wine and atmosphere were great . We will most definitely revisit next time we're in town.

Great fresh food is what i can definitely start off with! I came here during restaurant week and was delightfully impressed by how great everything was. From the service to the flavors they really nailed it on the marks that needed to be checked off. I personally was not disappointed with every course that was provided as they were all equally amazing!

This capture Saltine perfectly: A street level seafood restaurant in Downtown Norfolk, Saltine offers a chic, airy space for diners to savor seasonal shellfish, seafood and spirits. Enhancing the locally-sourced menu, the restaurant's black distressed millwork, old-world detailing, and mosaic tile floors blend historical authenticity with modern elegance that flows from the dining space to the bar. Good ultimate crab or calamari appetizers! Love the pick 2 lunch specials and you can go wrong selecting a dinner lobster! Recommend!!

This is by FAR best food I've had ever. The waiter I had (Eric, highly recommended) was funny, and made sure to give us time to enjoy our food and not have that little too long pause in between the appetizer and the main course (also nice job by the chefs!) The fish of the day absolutely melted in my mouth in a way I didn't think possible. It is pricey, but with the service of the waiters/waitresses as well as the quality of food I would have happily paid double. 10/5 will absolutely come back here!

My experience was not great. I had a bronzed catch of the day, Copia think. It was flavorful, but not enough of it. The roasted sweet potatoes were served as chunky sections. For the price, it should have been a whole sweet potato and more fish. I don't like Lima beans, so I chose grits as a substitute for the succotash. I assumed they would be cheese grits. They weren't, but I would have been satisfied if they had butter and seasoning. They had neither, maybe a little salt. The service was decent, and there was outdoor seating was nice. Not worth $30+ , in addition to tax and tip, plus parking. If it wasn't for a friend's milestone birthday dinner, I would have expressed my disappointment at the restaurant. I've had had better meals for a lot less.
