1st time at Varia. 5 star experience. Calamari and Shrimp app was delicious and came out quick. My wife and I both ordered the salmon entree and the salmon was cooked to perfection. Self serve wine station is awesome! Ask for Reagan as your server, she was great! Thanks to management (Matt) for visiting our table to ask about our experience!
We had such an amazing time at Varia. Our server, Thomas was delightful, attentive to our needs and treated us with the best service I have experienced in a long time. EXCELLENT! The food was delicious, the live music added an extra element to enjoy. We will certainly be back. I love it there!
Great experience and our server Micah Ann went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food was wonderful and the selection of wines was endless. Will definitely be back!
For fine dining I found it to be ordinary. Menu was nothing I couldn't get elsewhere. Food was good but when you pay for fine dining you expect great. The Caesar salad fell flat. I do not think that they would use a prepackaged dressing but is did taste like one. Seemed to be a creamy Caesar dressing not my favorite. Also, it was an Italian restaurant but no Prosecco on the wine menu and very few Italian wine and no Sangiovese wines. I thought they boasted an extensive wine list. The one I saw was ample, but again it lacked Italians Reds. It may have had some white but that is not what we were looking for. Our waiter was new but did an excellent job. He was busy and learning. He was very pleasant and was working hard. Couldn't ask more from him, that is why I gave them an extra star. I did like the atmosphere it was genuinely nice with a piano and a vocalist. The table were well spaced, and the decor and ambiance were that of a fine dining establishment. I usually like to give a restaurant three chances, but this was too expensive, and I know of several places I could go to get better and pay less. I'm sorry I really wanted this place to be exceptional because of its location.
Had reservations. Restaurant fairly empty at the time and we were set right behind the hostess stand. Behind us was where the wait staff gets silverware. Noisy horrible placing. You sit at a couch and giant chair pulled back from the table. The seating sinks so much that even at 6'4", the table came to my chest! Shovel level. Easy to scoop your dinner right straight into your mouth, but not very romantic. The food was good and the waiter was pretty scarce. My wife ordered a second glass of wine with a half glass left. They brought the refill with the check. Pretty classy, huh? Menu very limited. Something smelled great in the parking garage, but we came to the conclusion it wasn't Varia. Being sat at a regular table would have greatly improved the experience. Where we were was more like seating where you would wait to be seated.
